	Kindermusik Imagine That! is a class for your preschooler, taking you and your child on a musical journey of discovery and exploration - a journey limited only by the power of imagination! Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality. Imagine That! encourages socialization, sharing, and participation in group activities. All family members and caregivers attend the special Family Sharing Time during the last 10 minutes of class. 	Unit for Winter/Spring 2012: Toys I Make, Trips I Take

		Welcome to Toys I Make, Trips I Take! In this delightful, 15-week unit, your preschooler is affirmed as a creator, world traveler, and storyteller. He discovers that the globe can be traversed in a day, and his creative and adventurous spirit is engaged in the classroom and at home with toy making and trip taking. Your highly trained Kindermusik educator is ready with themes and activities that encourage a truly child-centered class experience. And you, the Kindermusik Parent, get a closer look at the interests and fascinations of your young explorer!


	At Home Materials:

		2 CD’s packed with songs from class, plus recorded readings of the literature books, music for dancing, and interactive listening and activity tracks. 2 beautiful literature books written just for Kindermusik and designed to highlight a particular facet of your child’s development. A specially designed instrument ideal for music making at home that relates directly to content and concepts addressed in class. A Family Activity Book containing 40 pages of activities for doing together at home, plus song lyrics and information about your child’s development you won’t find anywhere else. A play set that is sure to stimulate many hours of creative play at home while expanding upon class themes, songs and activities. A backpack to carry it all in!


	More Details:

Toys I Make, Trips I Take -- Think of it like taking a course inside a child’s imagination. We’ll use the theme of a toy shop to make our pretend-creations, using rhythm and songs with every imaginary saw, hammer, and nail. The result is building the preschooler’s sense of a sequence of events, which is good for storytelling, as well as making his ideas a reality.
